Features

  • Protects the worktop from scratches, stains and marks
  • Non-slip surface keeps chopping boards and bowls steady
  • Can be trimmed to size with a pair of scissors
  • Semi-transparent finish blends in with most kitchen surfaces
  • Guards against staining from sauces and seasonings
  • Helps prevent knife marks on the counter
  • Smooth to the touch and easy to wipe clean after cooking
  • Grips the counter so boards and bowls stay put

Material & Construction

  • Material: silicone rubber
  • Size: approximately W55 x D80 x thickness 0.1 cm
  • Heat resistant to 200 °C
  • Cold resistant to -30 °C
  • Lay the smooth side face down
  • Wash with water or a mild detergent before first use
  • Clean and dry the surface thoroughly before laying the mat down; trapped dirt can cause mould or discolouration
  • If the mat is curled or creased, roll or fold it the opposite way to flatten it

Care Instructions

  • If soiled, wash well with a mild detergent and dry before reuse
  • Do not use bleach or alcohol-based cleaners
  • Do not use a dishwasher or dish dryer
  • Wipe off dark liquids such as ketchup or coffee immediately, as they can stain

Safety & Handling

  • Pans and pots that exceed the heat resistance of the surface underneath must not be placed on the mat
  • Do not place over a naked flame or use near a flame, as this may deform or discolour the mat
  • The mat can become slippery if water or oil gets on it
  • Do not use inside a microwave, on an induction hob or in an oven
  • Do not place hot pans directly on the mat, as this may discolour the mat and the surface beneath
  • Keep sharp objects such as blades away from the mat to avoid tearing
  • A slight material odour may be noticeable at first; air the mat in a shaded, well-ventilated place for about half a day to reduce it
  • The material is safe in normal use, but do not put it in the mouth
  • Do not lay it on PVC sheeting, soft materials, printed, painted or coated surfaces such as flooring
  • Use only for its intended purpose
  • Dispose of the mat in line with local regulations
