Material & Construction
- Inner flask: stainless steel. Body: stainless steel with acrylic resin coating.
- Shoulder and handle: polypropylene. Inner stopper (lid): polypropylene. Gasket: silicone rubber.
- Heat retention figures are measured at a room temperature of 20 °C +/- 2 °C, filling the pot with boiling water to the base of the inner stopper, standing it upright, closing the stopper once the water reaches 95 °C +/- 1 °C and leaving it for 10 hours.
- Cold retention figures are measured at a room temperature of 20 °C +/- 2 °C, filling the pot with cold water to the base of the inner stopper, standing it upright, closing the stopper once the water reaches 4 °C +/- 1 °C and leaving it for 10 hours.
- Actual performance varies with the temperature of the contents and the surrounding air.
Care Instructions
- Do not soak or fully immerse the body in water; water can get inside and cause rust.
- Do not sterilise by boiling, and do not use a dishwasher or dish dryer, as this can cause scratches, rust or distortion.
Safety & Handling
- Do not dismantle the body.
- Keep away from heaters, stoves and direct sunlight, which can distort or discolour the pot.
- Check that the gasket is fitted correctly and close the inner stopper securely before use.
- When filled with a hot drink, keep the pot upright so the contents cannot spill.
- Fill to just below the base of the inner stopper; overfilling can make the contents overflow when the stopper is closed.
- For better results, pre-warm or pre-chill the pot with a little hot or cold water for about a minute before filling.
- Do not let children use the pot unsupervised and keep it out of reach of infants - there is a risk of scalds and injury.
- Never put dry ice or carbonated drinks inside; pressure can build up, making the stopper jam or blow out.
- Knocks and hard impacts can dent the body and reduce its insulating performance.
- Green tea stored for long periods breaks down, turning brown and losing flavour; using a tea bag is recommended.
- Take care when using or storing the pot near computers, cameras and other delicate electronics.
